TRAFFIC CALMING INITIATIVE
North Yorkshire Council and Scriven Parish Council have agreed to co-fund a traffic speed survey on Market Flat Lane in Old Scriven. The survey will see sensors placed at two locations on the road as it passes through the village. Councillor Steve Archer, Chair of Scriven Parish Council, said “For a number of years residents and councillors have raised concerns about the speed of some vehicles driving through the village. This survey will provide the data to help us determine if there is a problem and how best to implement any necessary traffic calming measures”. The survey is planned to take place over a week commencing 29th November and the results will be available soon afterwards.”
